The process of automatic employee scheduling consists of two main phases: first, your shifts are created to produce a schedule and second, your employees are assigned to those shifts as efficiently as possible. These two phases deliver the most impact when they work together, but they can be successfully used separately, as well.

This can be a two-phased process by first publishing the optimal created shifts and then finding an appropriate employee to fill those shifts. Or it can be an integrated approach in which shifts are created and assigned at once.
